It's been awhile!

A lot has happened since last August. Friends and family are dying. My closest friend, Thelma, lived 80 plus years. We played mah jongg since the early 80's. How lucky I was to travel with her to so many places. We spent 3 weeks traveling to London, Bath, then on to Barcelona, Madrid, Oviedo (where she was an exchange student while at the University of Illinois), Santander (sp?) in the mid 80's. What fun we had. A true adventure. Then several years ago we went to Italy. Another "big" adventure, this time with my sister-in-law, her daughter Lauren. We stopped in Florence to meet up with Lauren's friend, Liv. An amazing country!

Then my husband's brother Lawrence died of complications during a hip replacement. Also in his 80's.

And then our dear, dear companion, Boomer, not quite 10 years old, died after a long illness. That was four weeks ago. It is still hard to talk about him. He was full of personality, was my husband's companion from day one.

And now we are looking for a dalmatian puppy! And the litter has been born. The spots are coming out. And in a few weeks, we will pick him out. This litter is from the same gene pool as Boomer. We only hope that we get a dog as wonderful as he was. And here is one sweet mother with her 10 puppies. Oh My! 7 females and 3 males. We've taken to males...so it's a no-brainer.
